Description

This is a really fun vintage Louis Feraud 1980's 2 piece ensemble in black wool and cotton velvet. The set includes a jacket and a pair of slim pants. Louis Feraud pieces were made to last and we find this particular outfit can be worn together or as separates with other things you already own.

Louis Feraud was not only a fashion designer, but an artist and showed his work at legitimate exhibitions, including one at the Grand Palais and at New York’s Urban Gallery. He was also an author and  he published two novels in French. Among his many awards, Feraud won the Golden Thimble prize for excellence in couture in 1978 and 1984, and was named officer of France’s Legion d’Honneur in 1994. We have always loved his pieces and have many of them in our collection.

The Outfit:

The black wool jacket has black cotton velvet patch pockets, velvet covered buttons down the center front for closure, and a velvet pointed collar. The unique quilted satin sleeves are a soft black, almost a dark brown, to contrast with the black of the jacket body.

The jean style slim black velvet pants have front side slit pockets and back patch pockets .

Labeled Louis Féraud Set Made in Germany and marked a size US 10. Please use the measurements as a guide for the most accurate fit.

CONDITION: Excellent Condition- has spare buttons attached on both the jacket and pants.
