This is a really easy to wear vintage dress designed by Bill Tice in the early 1980's.
This full length jersey dress is black with dramatic purple stripes on the exaggerated leg of mutton batwing sleeves. The dress is in a soft, movable fabric that is draped on the side with a side slit at the hem. This versatile dress was designed to fit most sizes similar to a caftan or mumu.
Bill Tice loved using fabrics that felt like more like lingerie so that women could wear them at home or out on the town! He began his career in fashion in New York in the mid 60's, and by 1969, he was a vice president of company called Royal Robes. Tice also designed for Malcolm Starr. and was renowned for having his runway shows in unique locations like art museums, ski mountains and a tennis tournament in in Monte Carlo.
Excellent vintage condition.
