This vintage wool blanket coat was designed by Jean Charles de Castelbajac in the 1980's and was sold at Bergdorf Goodman. The coat is in a red and blue plaid wool and has a fabulous oversized 3" red, white and natural round button on the front. The sleeves and inner panels are all either solid red or solid blue and the rest of the coat is variations of a red and blue plaid. The coat can be worn with its hood as shown, and it can be open with the solid inner panels showing. When the coat is worn open, it gives the appearance of a coat with a separate top underneath! This great designer coat has front patch pockets and would be a great addition to your winter wardrobe! We love vintage Castelbajac coats and this blanket coat is wearable and collectible! The fit is meant to be oversized, typical of the 80's and of Castelbajac designs, so it will fit a range of sizes from medium to extra large. Made in France.
