This is a vintage double breasted black wool dress with removable cuffs and collar designed by Margaretha Ley for Escada in the 1990's. We love vintage Margaretha Ley Escada pieces and are so happy that people are starting to rediscover them!
This great day dress has a v-neck with a 3 tiered pointed collar and the front opening is secured by two rows of matte gold tone hammered buttons. There is a faux flap pocket on the right side of the hip and the cuffs of the sleeves have the same gold tone buttons. What makes this dress really unique is the tiered collar and cuffs that are removable, giving it an entirely different look! The shoulders are nicely structured with shoulder pads and the dress is fully lined in rayon.
Made in Germany of 100% New Wool with 100% Cotton collar and cuffs. Labeled size 42, we estimate this would best fit a modern day US size 12.
