Description

This purple Norma Walters cropped wool jacket is really amazing! The wool and cashmere blend has such a luxurious feel and this piece is sure to elevate any wardrobe.

This fabulous deadstock jacket has a button for closure in the front and one small faux breast pocket. There are two darts on the front of the jacket that create a nice box pleat. The back of the jacket has the same dart/pleat detail close to the hem and the shoulders are nicely structured with the shoulder pads.. There is a suede-back belt with a red belt bucket in the center of the two belt straps which allows for the jacket to be tighter around the waist.

This wonderful jacket is 45% Wool 35% Cashmere 20% Nylon. The original price tag is still attached for $789, which in 1988 would be worth $1,656.14 today! Made in Hong Kong in the 1987 or 1988.

Labeled a size 6, but we estimate this would best fit a modern S/M. The measurements were taken with the belt tightened half way so there is more room for tightening if needed.

We have come across Norma Walter's incredible pieces when we've handled higher end estates. The designer's work was in all of the major fashion magazines during the 1980's and was sold at high end departments in Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor and Nordstrom. We love her aesthetic and her unique use of fabrics, patterns and textures.
