Description

This vintage Christian Dior Boutique Demi Couture Suit from the early 1990's is a timeless classic crafted from charcoal grey wool. The peplum jacket and skirt suit features a numbered Boutique label marked a French size 38. It is a perfect way to express your sophisticated personal style. We believe this to be a Gianfranco Ferre suit from his Dior F/W 1991 or 1992  collection. This has many signature Ferre elements including the blousy bishop sleeves and large buttons.

We especially love the jacket because of the interesting peplum style skirted bottom. The Jacket is long, has raglan cuffed bishop sleeves, a notched lapel and slanted side patch pockets. There are sewn in thin shoulder pads for structure and 3 large black and white button closures down the center front. There are flattering princess seams with a fitted waist, with knife pleats in the back beginning around where the hips start. This jacket could be worn with jeans or even as a mini dress on the right person!

The matching pencil skirt has a center back hidden zipper with a dark gray round button closure at the waist. There are seams at the front of the waist that look like pleats, and a fixed waist.

Both are marked French size 38 and are fully lined in dark gray cotton/acetate blend. Both pieces are labeled Christian Dior Boutique Paris, Made in France. The jacket label has "56722" stamped onto it and the skirt label has "27628".
