Description

This is an exceptionally rare ensemble by Azzedine Alaia from the early 1980’s that includes 4 pieces. The fabric print was designed by Christophe Von Weyhe with whom Alaia collaborated with for this collection. This stunning and important vintage outfit includes a cropped jacket in black velvet with silk faux astrakhan fur printed lining and long sleeves. The jacket is cropped and ties at the waist.

The bustier matches the lining of the jacket, and has "boning" underneath and on the sides and two elastic straps in back with an open cutout.

The unlined skirt is full so that when you twirl, it reveals the amazing shorts underneath, and it closes with front buttons. The skirt can also be worn unbuttoned, with the shorts showing when you walk.

The shorts have an elastic waistband with 3 button closure in the front. Shorts have a brown, black, taupe, and grey print that is different than the rest of the printed silk.

You can wear all of these pieces separately, or in different combinations of tops and bottoms. Each one is so beautifully made. A really fabulous outfit that is a great tribute to a masterful designer who left a lasting impression on the fashion world!

Made in France. Labeled 38. US 6. 75% Cotton 25% Rayon. Lining: 86% Silk 14% Acrylic. We love the really unique seam work on the skirt-- see photos!
