This is a gorgeous Bill Blass vintage long dress designed in the 1980s. This fabulous silk jersey full length dress has a lovely black and white abstract zig zag print. The dress partially wraps in front to close on the side which creates some lovely gathering.

Bill Blass changed the way Americans viewed fashion designers, shining a spotlight on the individual designers who might have otherwise remained as faceless, nameless workers under a manufacturer's label. He went across the country visiting the shops and department stores that carried his label and met the women who wore his clothing. This was something that was never done before. From being such a good listener, he learned what women wanted to wear and his designs reflected that.

Bill Blass designed clothing for some of the most fashionable women in the world including; Slim Keith, Pat Buckley, Brooke Astor, Nancy Kissinger, Katherine Graham, Nancy Reagan, Happy Rockefeller, Chessy Rayner, Jessye Norman, Lynn Wyatt, Barbara Walters, Liza Minnelli, Lee Radziwill, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Gloria Vanderbilt, Gloria Guinness, Nan Kempner, Nina Baker, and C.Z.
