Valentino

In 2007 Valentino Garavani retired after 45 years in fashion. He left behind a fashion legacy that put his clothing in the closets of the most fashionable women in the world. But it was the red dress in his 1959 collection that began his association with the color that is now synonymous with his name.
At the age of 13 after seeing a production of Verdi’s La Traviata, in which all of the players and attendees were dressed in red, he realized the power of the color. "Valentino Red" is even an official Pantone color!
"After black and white, there is no finer color.” Valentino Garavani.
