Description

This is a 1970s vintage Adri coral pink jersey outfit, with a sleeveless turtleneck top, wide leg stretch pants and matching sash or scarf! The designer,

Mary Adrienne Steckling Coen, was known for free flowing garments made of Italian imported fabrics.

The turtleneck has enough fabric to be worn up like a hood, or down more like a cowl neck with its two tiers of fabric. The pants have an elastic waist and wide legs at the bottom. This ensemble also comes with a matching fabric sash or scarf that can be worn as a belt through the loops in the top, or as we have shown it -- as a headband!

Excellent condition, just a few rubs to the fabric around the hem of the pants. Marked as a size 6.

Mary Steckling was heavily influenced by Claire McCardell, and after graduating from Parsons in the late 1950's, this prolific designer worked for some of the best American designers including Oleg Cassini, B.H. Wragge, and Anne Fogarty. She received the prestigious Coty American Fashion Critics "Winnie" award in 1982 and John Rawlings dedicated his book "30 Years in Vogue" to her.
