This is a gorgeous vintage dress from the 1960's in a creamy ivory silk with wonderful ostrich feather plumes in rows covering the skirt. This very feminine vintage dress has a tiered ostrich feather skirt that moves when you walk. The top has a sheer silk overlay that hangs beautifully, and plunges in the back all the way to the waistband.
It has bra cup inserts sewn in, and a white metal zipper down the center back seam with a hook and eye closure.
We acquired this dress from the wife of a prominent political figure and businessman in Oregon. Her wardrobe included many early pieces by Oscar de la Renta, Oleg Cassini, and Pierre Cardin.
This would make a wonderful evening dress or even a wedding dress or rehearsal dinner dress for a bride. The only label inside is from an exclusive, high end boutique in Portland, Oregon that was called Muriel's Gowns. It is in generally excellent condition, with a few scattered spots on the bodice.
We estimate this vintage beauty to fit a modern day size 2/4 but please review the measurements for the best fit.
