This 1960's vintage dress is by Youth Guild of NY, a label for which Anne Fogarty (in the early 1950's) and Liz Claiborne (from the 1960's-1970's) both designed.
The label originally focused on full skirts and the quintessential 1950's youth style, but moved towards a more sleek silhouette in the 60's. This dress is the perfect example of that, giving up the full skirt for a form fitting, long skirt.
The bodice of this sleeveless maxi dress has gorgeous details, like the pleating across the front and back. It zips up the back, with a keyhole button opening at the nape of the neck. There is a double strand of rhinestones running around the dress under the bust line, as well as a strand on each shoulder.
This black maxi dress is in excellent condition, and would fit a modern size 4/6.
