I am slightly obsessed with vintage holiday photographs. I love them all; the adorable, the fashionable, the silly, the elegant and even the "so weird they're almost scary" photos. In honor of Peter Cottontail hopping down the bunny trail tomorrow - I thought I would share some of my favorites!
1930's vintage Easter photo - actress Dorothy Gordon
For some reason - a lot of old holiday photographs show women wearing some type of ears and/or skimpy outfits and/or sitting in some holiday object - pumpkins, hearts, and in this case.. Eggs!
I particularly love the holiday "behind the scenes" photographs like these from chocolate Easter egg factories!
Decorating eggs in factory
Then there are the holiday children.. Like these two holding a giant Easter egg!
Some are just adorable and others..
Well.. They are just a little ..creepy.
There are always the photos of various parades or parties..
And then there are these..
There are the celebrity holiday photos..some of which maybe weren't meant to be holiday photos..
And my favorite celebrity photograph - this 1960's vintage non holiday photo of Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick holding bunny rabbits.
Have a very Happy Easter - make some memories worth photographing!
