We are obsessed with this show stopping Issey Miyake Pleats Please ensemble that includes an indigo blue dress and a blue ombré jacket. The dress has a v-neck front with cinched shoulders that are completely adjustable by a knotted robe. The sleeves are slightly pointed at the ends and there is a pressed diagonal line along the pleats near the bust, to accomodate and move with the body. The dress is a solid blue color but the jacket has an ombré effect with deep blue at the tops of the shoulders and then slowly turns into an electric blue towards the hem. The sleeves are slightly rounded at the shoulders and have a slouchy fit with an open front draped collar. There are the same pressed horizontal lines along the pleats near the hips to add some extra texture and shape.
The style number for the dress is PP96-JH414. This outfit was made in Japan - jacket does not have any remaining labels, but the outfit is a full Issey Miyake set.
The dress is labeled a size 4, which according to the Issey Miyake official sizing chart says the following: "Pleated items have a unique size scale that is based on the garment length: 1 = shortest length, 5 = longest length. Due to our garment pleating technique which provides great stretch and comfortability, there is only a minor change in the garment width between sizes."

The best way to know if a vintage item will fit you is to take a garment that fits you well, similar to the one you are interested in purchasing, and measure it the way we measure ours.
We lay all garments flat and measure as follows*:

BUST - under arm to under arm across the front and then double that measurement. |
Measure the WAISTBAND, widest part of the HIPS, widest part of the THIGH on one leg and width of the CUFF, then double those measurements |

WAIST - find the smallest part of the garment if there isn't an obvious seam for the waist and measure across and then double that measurement. |
LENGTH - Measure from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the cuff along the side seam. | |
| HIPS - Find the largest part of the hip area and measure flat, then double that measurement. | RISE - Measure from the crotch to the top of the waistband. | |
| LENGTH - from the nape of the neck or the top of the shoulders, depending on the style of garment.
