Description

This a very rare Baroness Rapisardi of Florence vintage linen set that includes eight . placemats and 8 napkins. The design features medieval men with hunting gear, castles, a hunting dog and unicorns, all surrounded by pretty green leaves and colorful flowers!

This set was designed by the Baroness Rapisardi of Florence, Italy. Her pieces are highly collectible and scarce and she sold only to luxury stores in America in fear of local Italian designers copying her designs. A set like this one would have had a retail price of $400 in the 1960's! (approximately $3,798.41 today). The main reason for the high price tag was the uniqueness and quality of her hand embroidered linens. This is one of the most coveted of her designs! Baroness Rapisardi hired hundreds of hand sewers in Italy to create these masterpieces that are truly pieces of art!

Condition: Overall Excellent - One of the placemats has some minor wear to the green edge. Some of the napkins are lighter in color, most likely due to multiple washings, but the embroidery is bright and fresh in all of them.

In order to best determine fit, measure yourself or a garment of a similar style that fits you well. Compare those measurements to those on the item description.
