This is a beautiful marigold yellow jacquard pattern Iro Tomesode style kimono with colorful a hand painted floral embroidery design near the hem.

 

The beautiful floral colors consist of: purple, gold, white, blue, orange, yellow, green, and light blue. Some of the lovely flowers are fully embroidered and others are hand painted. The inside lining of the sleeves are a pretty red silk and the rest of the kimono being lined in cream and tan silk.

 

The Iro tomesode kimono is one that is made in fabrics other than black as its main color. A long time ago, they were only worn by married women, but today, they can be worn by anyone, regardless of their marital status.These types of kimonos were meant to be worn for semi formal or formal events.We love when people wear these in unconventional ways and incorporate them into modern wardrobes!
