This is a lovely vintage Burgundy, gold and blue Hermès King Tut (King Tutankhamun) silk scarf. This scarf was designed by Vladimir Rybaltchenko in 1976 and it was re-issued in 1994. The print includes familiar Egyptian sacred images associated with King Tut that include;scarab beetles, King Tut's famous gold death mask, statues of Anubis -the Egyptian god of mummification and the afterlife, an image of King Tut's gold cloisonne earrings, a winged Phoenix -which In ancient mythology was reborn after death across various cultures and throughout time.
We love Hermes scarves and think this one especially beautiful!
Approx. 35" x 35".
There is one pin dot size spot that should be able to be removed. (Shown in photo). Very small and not very visible except under very close observation.
