I acquired this dress from an estate I purchased from the niece of a woman who had the most beautiful 1920s and 1930s dresses! This dress is from 1929 or 1930 and it is in a pretty, lightweight cotton with gentle smocking at the drop waist line and breathtaking embroidery! The flowers were hand embroidered and they are so much prettier than the photos show! This dress is a pretty, soft peach in color and is one of several from this estate.
These dresses are getting much harder to find and I can see why, because I think they are really wonderfully timeless! I have always thought that bridesmaids wearing these dresses in various pastel shades would be so beautiful! This dress slips over your head, so it wouldn't be great for someone with broad shoulders, and is probably best suited for a small frame. Take a look at the other dresses we have on the site like this one!
There is some separation at the neckline in front from age. It is otherwise in excellent condition.
