1950's Designer Adele Simpson Vintage Dress

This black silk sleeveless dress was designed by Adele Simpson and purchased at the exclusive boutique Nicholas Ungar, in Portland, Oregon in the late 1950’s. We love the fabulous bow on the bodice and how the sash that drapes from it snaps together in the back.

This little black dress is lined and closes in the back with a metal zipper and two hooks and eyes. This is another piece from our favorite estate of all time - a collector’s dream because her clothing was all in near mint to unworn condition and the designer names included every important fashion designer from the 1940’s through the 1970’s.

Most of this woman's dresses were a size 6 or 8 but this one is an estimated size 10/12. Please use the measurements as a guide for a proper fit. This gorgeous dress is in excellent condition.

BUST 40"
WAIST 30"
