This is a creamy ivory 1950's marbleized lucite vintage handbag with beautiful rhinestone accents. This hard shell pearlized bag came from an estate we acquired of beautiful vintage clothing and accessories.
Lucite became a popular material for handbags in the 1950's, mainly because it was a stronger plastic that could be molded into a variety of shapes. You can find clear, pearlized, marbled and even mixed lucite blended with confetti or seashells! We love lucite purses and this one is an especially nice example of their versatility!
This lucite bag measures 7 and 1/2" wide, 3" deep and the handle is 5 and 1/2". There is an inside mirror and rings around the handle that are embellished with rhinestones. These mid century handbags are so much fun to collect and it's always great to find one in such good condition.
