We love vintage Adolfo here at Modig! Adolfo Sardiña started out as a milliner, apprenticing in the 1950's under Cristobal Balenciaga. He worked for the respected milliner Emme as the head designer, winning the Coty award for millinery in 1955. Adolfo traveled to France to work as an unpaid intern for Coco Chanel in the late 50's in her hat salon. However, it was the experience of being around Chanel's fashions that would highly influenced Adolfo's design aesthetic.  He started designing clothing and his jackets and suits always had that rich Chanel quality, look and feel.

This two piece colorful wool knit skirt and jacket suit has bright yellow grosgrain ribbon trim with black velvet trim on pockets and collar. The jacket closes with pretty gold buttons and it has 3 functional pockets with the same buttons. This unlined suit has a mandarin collar and buttons on the cuffs of the sleeves.

The skirt has the same yellow ribbon trim outlining the hemline and the side. It has an elastic waistband, slits on both sides, and no other closures. We estimate this outfit to fit a modern day size 4, but please use the measurements as a guide for the most accurate fit!
