Vintage Shift Dress Made in France
This lovely vintage cream wool pleated shift dress was made in France in the 1970's for Marshall Field. I acquired several dresses with this label from an estate of high end designer couture and boutique vintage dresses. They are all incredibly well made and have the feel and look of designer pieces.
This beautifully pleated wool dress buttons up the front and has side slit pockets. There is a sash at the neck that you can tie into a bow or a simple slip knot. The top stitching on this dress is so fine, and it is in as new condition, except it is missing its original belt. I have searched for the belt for months because this woman had nothing but the finest clothing and everything was pristine in terms of condition, but to no avail.
This incredible dress doesn't need a belt, however, and if you choose to wear it without one,the simple string belt loops are easy to remove!
I would estimate this dress to be a US modern day size 4/6 but please use the measurements as your guide.
