This vintage dress was purchased at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore in the late 1960's or early 1970's. It is a stunning long, lightweight ivory dress with revealing Guipure lacework in the front and back of the skirt. The long bell sleeves carry the same lacework at the cuffs, with a pattern of daisies, leaves and ferns. The dress zips up the back and has a scoop neck.
We love this dress as a gorgeous summer soiree dress, or even a bohemian wedding dress!
The woman who originally owned this piece had an impressive curated collection of clothing from Central and South America as well as some very unique pieces from her travels abroad. She had impeccable taste, and her garments are always unique and in pristine condition!
The label reads: The Wardrobe Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. It is in excellent condition and we estimate this dress to be a modern day size 6.
