Description

Gorgeous hand woven coat that was in Cher's personal collection. We have attached images of Cher wearing this coat on the set of Mermaids in 1990, and you can see her wearing that famous polka dot dress underneath.

Santa Fe artisan and weaver Chris O’Connell designed and created this wool coat for Cher, and even had it lined in black velvet. The coat has front pockets, large coin buttons and a shawl collar - even the pockets are lined in velvet!

O'Connel was a successful TV executive before she decided to develop her craft as a weaver. Her beautiful throws sold for $700 in the 1980's. Her clientele included, other than Cher of course, Robert Redford, Linda McCartney, Julie Andrews, Mario Thomas and Lee Remick. This fits a variety of sizes with shoulder pads and two button front closure. We will include the photo of Cher holding a lollipop taken by Boston Globe photographer Arthur Pollock. We acquired this coat from a serious collector of Cher memorabilia and we will be selling many pieces from the collection.

Sleeves: 24” with upturned cuff

Length: 33”

Bust: up to 48” Shoulders (Oversized with pads) 24”
