This is an absolutely gorgeous vintage Chanel lightweight black wool crepe dress with a simple matching bolero jacket. (The dress and bolero are a true black, a few of the photos have been lightened to show more detail).
The dress is from 1994 and can be worn with or without its bolero jacket. It is lined in black silk, and there is the signature Chanel Camellia flower sewn at the high neck. This turtleneck halter dress has an open back and beautiful CC logo buttons securing the neck and waistband in the back. The bolero is unlined and slightly sheer.
We love the asymmetrical hemline and the luxurious way the dress falls. The skirt has a lining, then two layers of sheer wool crepe. The bottom layer is short in the front where it opens, and long in the back. The top layer is short in the back where it opens, and long in front. This unique layering effect creates beautiful movement in the dress. The bolero has a cutaway fit and no closures, with a front opening that perfectly mimics the cut in neckline.
The dress has a back zipper at the waist. It is in excellent condition and was made in France. The label is Chanel Boutique from the 94C collection, style 2682. Labeled a size 36 and its a modern day US women's size 2/4 but please use the measurements as a guide.
