This vintage clothing ensemble was purchased at “Doops,” a very exclusive Hollywood clothing store, during the 1950’s.This store carried clothing from only the top designers and this outfit bears the “Doops” label. It is an exceptional iridescent green strapless gown with mink trim, and a short shawl type jacket that ties in front. The bodice is lined with mesh and "boned", and there are 3 pleats in the front and 3 in the back. 1 ½” fur trim on top of bodice and 1 ½” fur on cuffs of jacket. The jacket has ¾ length sleeves and is also nicely pleated at the shoulders and down the back.
Beautifully made, and the only problems I can find are a few very tiny pin holes near the hem and the hook that is above the zipper needs a new eye. There is a metal zipper on the side and the only label left is the Doops label.
