A sensational very rare vintage late 1940's or early 1950's 3 piece sunsuit designed by Dorothy Cox for McMullen in green and navy blue plaid cotton! The vintage high waisted shorts button up the side and the bandeau halter tie top can be worn strapless as well! The shirt is perfect to wear when you've had enough sun! There is a 1/4" darkish spot on one of the sleeves of the blouse, otherwise, the outfit is in excellent condition!
This playsuit can be worn to the beach or around town - one of our personal favorites!
We acquired this incredible outfit from an estate of only the finest designer vintage clothing - the other vintage playsuit from Brigance on our site was also from the same estate. Everytime we sell something from this estate a little part of us is sad because it was a once in a lifetime acquisition! We were fortunate that she saved editorial clippings from Vogue and Harper's Bazaar of many of the pieces in her collection and this is one of the outfits that was featured on one of those pages as shown!
