This is a beautiful vintage dress from Albert Nipon in a gorgeous linen-cotton blend floral print with micro herringbone stripes. There are bold pink, yellow and white big flowers and we love that one of the halter straps is lined in the same pink as the pink flower and the other is lined in a beautiful teal blue.
The dress has an open back with a zipper at the waist and you can wear it as a halter with the straps hanging down the back or bring the straps around to the front and tie in a knot or a bow as a sash. This pretty, versatile dress has side slit pockets and the bodice is lined. This is labeled a size 2 and was made in Hong Kong in the late 1970's.
Albert Nipon has dressed many famous celebrity clients including Rosalynn Carter, Mary Tyler Moore, Nancy Reagan and Barbara Walters. Albert Nipon and his wife, Pearl originally started as maternity clothing designers. When the birth rate started to decline, they started designing ready-to-wear dresses that gave career women the opportunity to wear dresses as nice as those found in Europe at the time.
