Description

This early Alexander McQueen vintage dress is a collector's piece that can be worn in the day or evening. Alexander McQueen designed this white dress for his Spring/Summer 1996 "The Hunger" collection.

This incredible dress has a tube fitting bodice with spaghetti straps and fits like a mini dress with attached asymmetrical layered sheer silk crepe overlaying down to the knee. The layered skirt has beautiful movement and features ribbon trim along the hem with gray top stitching. This topstitching continues to the bodice along the seams for that beautifully tailored look McQueen is so well known for.

For The Hunger, McQueen took his inspiration from Tony Scott’s movie of the same name. This campy vampire film starred David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve.

This dress closes with an off center zipper and hook and eye at the top. The bodice portion of this dress is a cotton, polyester and elastain blend, and the skirt layers are a fine 100% silk. The bodice has a small amount of stretch due to the elastain content and is meant to be worn very fitted.

This iconic Alexander McQueen dress fits like a US size 0/2.
