Description
This is a stunning Chanel Fall 2015 dress in black bouclé wool with silk trim. We love this dress because it is so easy to wear and has subtle details that make it so special!
The body of the dress is wool boucle, but there is a band of black satin silk at the hem, and the same silk was used to make the upper bodice and sleeves. There is a beautiful gripoix button in the center of the neckline as well as one on each of the sleeves. The shoulders have a dolman style curved shoulder with no seam definition. The sleeves have a very unique curved hem overlay detail that is secured with the gorgeous button.
There are two functional curved pockets right at the hips, which are lined in silk and a black metal zipper down the center back seam that is concealed and secured at the neckline with a hook and eye closure.
This dress is fully lined and was made in France of 99% Wool and 1% Nylon. The signature Chanel camelia lining is made of 100% Black Silk, and the trim is 100% Silk. The style number is: P52293W05713.
Labeled size FR 44, and we estimate this would best fit a modern day US size 8/10 with narrow hips. We always prefer using measurements instead of size numbers because all designers use different size standards. Please refer to the measurements provided to assure the most accurate fit.

The best way to know if a vintage item will fit you is to take a garment that fits you well, similar to the one you are interested in purchasing, and measure it the way we measure ours.

We lay all garments flat and measure as follows*:

BUST - under arm to under arm across the front and then double that measurement. |
Measure the WAISTBAND, widest part of the HIPS, widest part of the THIGH on one leg and width of the CUFF, then double those measurements |

WAIST - find the smallest part of the garment if there isn't an obvious seam for the waist and measure across and then double that measurement. |
LENGTH - Measure from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the cuff along the side seam. | |
| HIPS - Find the largest part of the hip area and measure flat, then double that measurement. | RISE - Measure from the crotch to the top of the waistband. | |
| LENGTH - from the nape of the neck or the top of the shoulders, depending on the style of garment.
