I fell in love with this vintage 1920's dress when I acquired several items from this very prominent Portland Oregon estate for my inventory and I am including the original photo of the owner wearing the dress.
The dress is reminiscent of Callot Soeurs and is made of fine pink silk chiffon and silk Chantilly lace. There is a pink satin built in slip and the dress slips overhead with no zipper or snaps. The fine embroidery is some of the most beautiful I've seen.
This dress was purchased at the high end store H. Liebes and Company in Portland, Oregon in the 1920's. I don't usually sell clothing with damage, and it was so disappointing that this was not in pristine condition, but this was such a beautiful dress that I made an exception.
The dress could be purchased for display or study, or the lace can be repaired or re-worked to be wearable. This dress has a few scattered holes in the lace but the main damage is a large area of the right shoulder as shown in the photo.
Please use the measurements to determine fit and be aware that the dress is being sold as is.
