This is a rare Kermit Oliver reversible Hermes jacket with the Les Mythologies des Hommes Rouges scarf print on one side, and solid black jacket with scarf print trim on the other. There are side slit pockets on the patterned side, patch pockets on the black side, and a front zip closure.
The scarf print depicts the various mythologies of indigenous tribes of the American Southwest. The original painter, Kermit Oliver, is the only American to have ever designed for Hermes. He is an African American painter who lives in Texas.
This Hermes coat was made in France and we guarantee the authenticity of all of our items. This piece has all of the proper Hermes labels, marked hardware, etc. Hermes often makes clothing inspired by its silk scarf prints and this is an example of that!
This coat is in excellent condition. The estate from which we acquired this piece had mainly clothing in sizes 6 and 8 and this jacket fits 6/8 as well. Please use the measurements as a guide for a better fit!
