Description

This is a rare vintage late 1970's or early 1980's Mary McFadden skirt suit with a quilted longline hand painted silk jacket and wool skirt. You can wear these pieces together or as separates!

The collarless quilted silk jacket is cream with blue circles with black outlines that slightly resemble globes. These quilted silk jackets are some of our favorites of Mary McFadden's vintage pieces. The jacket has no closures and has two functional side slit pockets. We love the unique black braided rope around the arm seams. The inside of the jacket is lined in teal.

The black wool knit skirt has the same braided rope along the top of the waistband and it closes with a side metal zipper and two hook and eyes.

Only the jacket is labeled but the skirt is clearly meant to be worn with the jacket. The jacket is labeled a vintage size 10 and we think it fits more like a modern day US size 6/8. The skirt fits a modern size 4/6.
