1960's Michael Novarese Gold Lamé Ball Gown

THIS ITEM IS ON HOLD AND CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE EMAIL INFORMATION@DRESSINGVINTAGE.COM FOR UPDATES IF THIS ITEM COMES AVAILABLE AGAIN.

This strapless formal vintage dress was designed by Michael Novarese in the 1960's. I purchased it 10 years ago from an individual who claimed that it originally belonged to Audrey Hepburn. The story actually seemed very true to me, call it an experienced gut response, but the person did not have documentation, and I have been unable to find a photograph of Audrey wearing the gown. I have finally decided to sell the dress, and though I haven't been able to document that it belonged to Audrey Hepburn, it is still a stunning vintage evening gown and someone is sure to fall in love with it!

The dress has "boning", 2 layers of tulle underskirts, and a back zipper. There is a pretty bow at the top of the bodice, and the lame fabric is a beautiful abstract pattern with shades of green, gold, orange and black.

The dress is VERY small and would be equivalent to a modern day 00.
