Description
Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi designed this adorable charcoal striped vintage dress. Vuokko was an original designer for Marimekko in the 1950's and designed many of the brand's most recognizable patterns, including the Jokapoika shirt, credited with putting Marimekko on the map! She then opened her own company and this dress is from that venture in the 1970's. This dress definitely has that familiar Marimekko feel to it!
The thing we love about this dress is that it is a year round piece that can be worn in the Summer or the Fall / Winter with a pair of tights!
Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi pieces are found in the Metropolitan Museum's permanent collection and in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Excellent condition.
In order to best determine fit, measure yourself or a garment of a similar style that fits you well. Compare those measurements to those on the item description.
