This vintage dress is a beautiful example of Japanese designer Hanae Mori's talent! The fabric is printed with bold oversized flowers, as was Mori's signature, in shades of red, orange, green, yellow, purple and pink. The silk chiffon printed outer layer drapes over a printed silk taffeta underdress.
The dress has a modified halter neck, with a mock turtleneck collar and a low scoop back. It creates the look of cutouts across the top of the shoulders from the front. There is a metal zipper closure and this beautiful dress was made in Japan sometime in the late 1960's or possibly 1970.
This is one of the loveliest Hanae Mori pieces we've ever had, truly a collector's dream dress! You can wear it during the day or add accessories to make it the perfect summer evening dress!
