Description
This stunning vintage hand forged necklace from the late 1970's has a 2" cabochon in the center that appears to be obsidian. The metal is very uniquely forged in modern brutalist fashion, with a lack of symmetry and unrefined edges that point to a handmade process.
This piece came from an estate I handled that had an outstanding collection of clothing from the 1970s and 1980s including mostly avant garde designers, and an impressive collection of designer and art jewelry.
Total length of the chain when connected: 24"
Necklace pendant with the cabochon: 3" in diameter and 7 and 1/4" long (including a 3 and 1/2" drop below).
In order to best determine fit, measure yourself or a garment of a similar style that fits you well. Compare those measurements to those on the item description.
